Jewellery masters – a synthesis of tradition and innovation
Goldsmiths – masters of gold with thirty years of experience each – work in our jewellery house. They have mastered classic casting, forging, and inlaying techniques, but they use new 3D technologies, laser soldering, and microscopic surface polishing equipment just as virtuously. Every master specialises in a certain style: some create elegant solitaire engagement rings with a diamond, others – complex, baroque-inspired compositions with coloured gemstones. All jewellers have jewellery education and regularly train at international exhibitions in Basel and Vicenza, bringing back new trends and materials.
Gemmologists – gemstone scientists and market strategists
Certified GIA and IGI gemmologists inspect every diamond, sapphire, or emerald daily, confirming their clarity, colour, and origin. They use a photoluminescence camera and 10,000x magnification microscopes to spot even the slightest crack. Besides laboratory analysis, gemmologists monitor international exchanges in New York, Hong Kong, and Antwerp, forecasting price fluctuations and advising when it is best to buy a natural or lab-grown diamond. 3D ring designers and AI engineers – the future of creation
A three-person 3D design team works with the most advanced CAD programs and photorealistic rendering, creating virtual models in 4K resolution. It is complemented by two artificial intelligence engineers who teach algorithms to understand client desires and offer a complete sketch in seconds. Once a designer finishes the model, it is exported to a precision wax printer in the workshop, allowing a prototype to be created overnight. This saves time and reduces raw material waste.
Client consultants – your personal guides
Five multilingual consultants communicate daily via phone, email, and live chat. They listen to the client’s idea, explain the 4C criteria, help choose the metal and gemstone, and if necessary, organise a direct video call with a gemmologist. The consultants participate in training to better understand the emotional value of jewellery and – most importantly – to know how to advise without pressure to buy.
Quality control and gemmology certification department
Before leaving for the client, every item goes through a three-stage control. First, the deviation from the 3D model is measured. Second, a gemmologist checks the gemstone setting. Third, the piece is marked with responsibility and TopDiamonds hallmarks, and a GIA, HRD, or IGI certificate is issued alongside.
Learning and community
Every Friday evening, representatives from all departments gather for a “Mastery Hour”, where one of the colleagues shares the latest discoveries: from nano-coatings that stop metal oxidation to the emotional psychology of colours. The team also volunteers at educational workshops in schools, where children learn the basics of gemstone identification.
